KNOTWORK: COLOR LINES / PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy policy
Effective 28 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Android game Knotwork: Color Lines (package com.priyanshu.knotwork) handles, made by Pawlit Labs (“we”). Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- You don’t create an account, and we never ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress, settings and gems are saved on your phone, not on our servers.
- The game shows ads using Google AdMob and measures how it is used with Google Analytics for Firebase. These Google services collect some device information, described below.
- We don’t sell your information.
Information stored on your device
Puzzle progress, stars, records, achievements, gems, skins, streaks and settings are stored locally on your device so the game can remember where you left off. We do not receive this data. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Knotwork is free and supported by ads, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. To deliver, measure and protect ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK collects:
- your device’s IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID;
- interactions such as app launches, taps and ad views;
- diagnostic information such as app performance and launch time.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google’s consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can change that choice at any time from the game’s Settings (“Ad privacy choices”). Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings. Learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand which modes people play, where puzzles are too hard, and whether the game is working well. It collects an app-instance identifier, the Android advertising ID, in-game events (for example, sessions, screens viewed, puzzles completed or failed), device model and Android version, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We see this information in aggregated reports; it is not used to identify you personally. See Google’s Analytics data disclosure.
How information is shared
The information above is sent to Google, which provides the advertising and analytics services. It is encrypted in transit. We don’t sell personal information and don’t share it with anyone else, except where required by law.
Children
Knotwork is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, contact us and we will help.
Your choices and requests
- Change your ad consent in Settings → Ad privacy choices (EEA, UK and Switzerland).
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Delete local game data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling.
- For any other privacy request, email [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If the game starts handling information differently, for example if online leaderboards or purchases are added, we will update this page and its effective date before that version is released.
